My Style, My Way Book Debut

It’s heeeeeeere!

I am very excited to announce the book that I have co-authored is available NOW!

My Style, My Way was such a fun project; it has fueled a desire in me to write another. (hopefully the offer comes again)

A lot has happened since I got that first call from the publicist (and subsequently ran around my house—similar to the elation Sarah in Love Actually experienced).

But let’s talk about what’s inside…

So what’s this book all about?

It’s a collaboration of tips from professional stylists and image consultants across the U.S. & Canada on how to look your best and what to avoid.

Topics I found especially interesting:

1. How to wear eye makeup based on your eye shape

2. How to create a capsule collection in your wardrobe

3. Lipo in a Box (TM) & other foundation pieces

4. How to use body language & non-verbal communication when on dates

5. Women in India wear saris in the boardroom & other overseas wardrobe do’s & don’ts

And in my chapter, “International Departures—Domestic Arrivals, Shopping the World for Your Unique Look,” you learn what to wear in major cities across the United States and how to have a style that is not easily copied (what to look for, what to buy, where to get it). Even though copying is the sincerest form of flattery, it’s a much better feeling to have only ONE of you walking around!

You can buy your copy HERE or click on the Book page of this site for the table of contents and a testimonial by Joan Lunden.

To the boys, I want to let you know that this is a chick book—just so no one is misled. 🙂 Not the ideal bedtime read for you, but for the lovely lady in your life, YES! It’s full of wardrobe & shopping tips…and the cover is red…so use it as a Valentine’s Day present. (Was that a stretch?)

Thank you!

Lena

  1. Congratulations, Lena! It’s been a pleasure to work with you during the time that you’ve written and now released this book. If the articles on your website are any indication, your book will be awesome and provide (in my case) some much needed tips! Oh, and don’t wait for them to come to you for your next book – write it on your terms and sell them on it when you are ready. You’re the boss now! =)
